Insight: Questioning Conventional Design

Hi, I'm Jeremy. I’ve always been passionate about two things: socks and basketball.

 

But every time I geared up for a game, I’d face the same frustrating ritual—sorting through a pile of freshly washed basketball socks to match the left with the right. More often than not, I'd accidentally grab two left socks or two right socks. Yet, strangely enough, I never felt discomfort during the game. That got me thinking: is this left/right design really adding any value, or is it just a label to give the illusion of expertise?

After some research, I discovered that most basketball socks on the market are produced using the same process—only after production are they marked with an “L” or an “R.” This revelation sparked an idea: why not eliminate this unnecessary distinction and save time by simply designing socks that work for either foot?

Innovation: Developing Sweat Guard​

​

During my years of playing basketball, I also suffered from worn-out heels and insufficient sweat absorption in conventional socks. Determined to solve these problems, I collaborated with manufacturers to create a sock that truly supports the game. The result was our first product: Sweat Guard. With reinforced heel and toe areas, added cushioning at the ankle, and enhanced moisture-wicking capabilities, Sweat Guard quickly became the pair I trusted on the court.
